Teradata, Cloudera team up on Hadoop data warehousing

Teradata and Cloudera announced plans to collaborate on Hadoop-powered enterprise analytics and data warehousing projects. In a nutshell, Teradata customers will be able to use Cloudera’s Hadoop distribution to analyze unstructured data collected from various sources. This information can then be funneled into a Teradata data warehouse.

Data Robotics’ new EMEA vice president, Paul Thackeray, has outlined his plans to ramp up the firm’s presence in the SME market. The storage vendor made its first play for the SME market at the end of last year with the release of its DroboElite iSCSI SAN product.“We will be pursuing the SME market aggressively this year, through partner recruitment and will be working closely with our distributors,” he said.
